Something in the water, is a still life acrylic painting. Slightly quirky, using a naive style of painting, something Vanessa has been exploring more as she looks to free up her style. Patterns and colour have been used to create the composition and one of Vanessa's prized Monstera plants breaks out of the frame and takes over the image. This piece explores personal growth and the ability for things to thrive and find hope.
