Details: This workshop focuses on basketry techniques to create a small round wall hanging. We will work on a wire frame and start off by learning a few techniques that will form the background of the piece. Some of these techniques are looping, coiling and knotting. Students will choose their own colour schemes and how to bring their pieces together. We will use natural fibres such as raffia, plant materials and paper. Suitable for beginners to advanced.
Maximum 12 participants
BYO lunch, we will break for 30minutes around midday and you could walk to local cafes to grab something to eat, but we recommend bringing lunch with you. We have tea and coffee onsite and you are welcome to use the fridge / microwave in our kitchenette. There is a coffee window at 10 Balcombe.
